You'll be able to play non-VR games on the PS VR2

Buried at the bottom of this blog post detailing the user experience of the PS VR2, is a feature called Cinematic Mode.
This is a virtual cinema screen on which you can view the PS5 user interface, and all game and media content not specifically designed for VR.
Content will be displayed on the virtual screen at 1080p with HDR, and up to 120 frames per second. Will this look any good on a 4000x2040 display mounted directly to your face? We'll have to wait and see.
Another burning question remains – will we see the PS VR2 launch in time for Christmas this year?
