The PlayStation 5 has sold more than 7.8 million units

Sony has released its financial results for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2021.

Here are some highlights:

• There were 7.8 million PlayStation 5 consoles sold

• There are 47.6 million PlayStation Plus subscribers, up from 41.5 million a year prior

• 65% of games sold were digital downloads, up from 53% the prior year

• 17% of games sold were first party
